The brief

Make a tap-to-pay accessory that feels like fashion, works like a card, and ships on a hard date.

What made it special

A free commodity, made worth paying for.

A tag can’t do anything a debit card can’t. Gen Z paid for one anyway, because Cash App made it fashion.

A debit card

Free

A boardroom commodity: plastic, beige, forgettable.

A tag

$25–35

Each. Same tap, no new capability, and it still sold out drop after drop.

What shipped

Three tags in five weeks.

Built on the architecture I designed, released in waves behind a waitlist.
